Florida Standards
This is an online resource that looks at the specific standards of what students are learning in the various grades.

FSA (3-5)
This website is the resource for questions about the Florida Standards Assessments. The Florida State Board of Education approved the Florida Standards for ELA (English Language Arts) and Math in 2014 and fully implemented in the 2014-15 school year for grades K-12. All Florida schools teach these standards. This website has helpful information about the testing including a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page (to get to this page click on the Students and Families button). Some topics in the FAQ are: how long the tests are, whether or not students can use a calculator on the test, and if students can practice for the test. For some of the Math tests, students can use reference sheets (for instance some grades have test questions on measurements such as feet/yards/meters, for some grades students are given a reference sheet with these conversions such as 1 foot = 12 inches, 1 yard = 3 feet). These reference sheets can be seen on this site, so you know what resources the student can use while taking the test. To find these reference sheets, click on the "resources" box within the site.

The Kahn Academy
This online resource provides video tutorials on how to do various math problems. You can access this by going directly to the website and typing in a topic (for instance if your child is doing a multiplication problem using what is called the "lattice graph" method, you can type in, "lattice graph", or if your child is doing a problem and is to use the "commutative property", you can type that it). Also, if you just type in a math topic such as lattice graph or commutative property on a general internet search (such as typing it into Google), a tutorial from Khan Academy might come up. Other links/resources could come up also. (The Khan Academy tutorials have been, in my experience, easy to understand.)
